Julie Brown Receives Top Award at 2015 Fort Worth Admin Awards
Julie Brown, executive assistant to Wayne Carson, CEO of ACH Child and Family Services, received the Administrative Professional of the Year award at the Fort Worth Admin Awards™ luncheon on May 8.
The Fort Worth Admin Awards publicly honors administrative assistants serving executives in Fort Worth and surrounding areas each year. The 2015 awards luncheon was held at The Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel and recognized professionals in nine categories.
Mayor Betsy Price presented the Fort Worth Administrative Professional of the Year Award, the top award lauding the administrative professional who demonstrates exemplary proficiency, loyalty, customer service and passion for their role.
“I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this award than Julie Brown,” says Wayne Carson, CEO of ACH Child and Family Services. “Julie embodies all of the qualities of an exceptional administrative professional. She makes ACH a better place for employees and clients and Fort Worth a better place for children and families.”
Brown has served as the lead administrative professional at ACH since 2008 and provides executive-level assistance, including coordinating the calendar, activities and efforts of the agency and planning high-level agency meetings with board members, trustees and various committees.
In addition to her professional association with ACH, Brown has a personal connection to the agency. As a child, Brown and her brother resided in an ACH group home, and she often shares her personal story at ACH fundraising events and supports many of the activities geared toward former residents, including the annual alumni reunion.
“Julie’s reputation for customer service and excellent administrative support have made her a role model and leader with the agency,” says Carson. “Her passion for ACH, for the children and families it serves and for the people who work there are demonstrated in her daily practice of selflessly putting others first.”
