Last year we took the kids to the Parade of Lights and we were awed by the amazingness of this event. The pageantry and skill it took to put that many lights on a vehicle, bicycle or body was beyond my comprehension. My husband Mike quipped that this year we would engineer our own amazing float. He is quite creative and he loves a challenge but sometimes his creativity can be a little scary. So I decided it would best if we sit on the sidelines again this year.

In this month’s issue we are showing our love for all of our local businesses and neighbors. There is a new president at the helm of the Camp Bowie District. This organization’s goal is to champion the businesses and keep the boulevard beautiful. Then our friends Robbie & Yvonne Turman are bringing an oyster/seafood restaurant to the west side. I am especially excited about this. Our cover art was deliciously provided by Sugar Biscuit Cakery, located on Bluebonnet Circle. Ratna’s creativity with fondant is a sight to behold.

When Mike and I started this magazine almost two years ago, we wanted to give back to our community that we shop, live and work in. We love that many of you reach out to us and share your opinions, ideas and news with us. Our purpose is to tell the stories of our community and we have barely scratched the surface. So when you see us around town, make sure you let us know how we are doing.

We are so thankful for the many blessings we have and want you to know that you, as our reader, are one of them.

See you around town!
