Community Food Bank will be giving out 8,000 food boxes to those who are in need during the Holidays. West FW Lifestyle is supporting the Community Food Bank this holiday season with a fun twist. This is open to individuals, families, businesses, churches etc. Whoever collects the most of the items listed below will have a feature story and photo shoot published in our February issue of West FW Lifestyle. All participants will be promoted within the magazine and our social media. If you are interested in participating please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to enter.

Looking for a unique gift this holiday season? Treat your loved ones to a one-of-a-kind glass art workshop experience at SiNaCa Studios—no experience necessary. During introductory classes, recipients will enjoy making their own piece of glass art to take home, like a holiday ornament, paperweight, pendant, picture frame, clock or sun chimes. Under the guidance of a skilled instructor, guests will learn about basic glass art techniques, equipment and safety policies to prepare them for intermediate classes. SiNaCa Studios’ introductory workshop options include four methods: glass blowing, kiln forming, bead making and borosilicate. Each class is $100 per participant.Walk-up workshops, which don’t require a reservation, are also available for $40; available methods are hot shop, flame working or kiln forming. Ballet Concerto Holiday Special
Ballet Concerto announces the 2015 A Holiday Special dance concert to be held December 11 at the Will Rogers Auditorium. The annual A Holiday Special will begin with “Winter Wonderland “set to familiar Christmas tunes and choreographed by Margo Dean followed by “The Princess and the Magical Christmas Star” choreographed by Christine Hay and restaged by Webster Dean as the featured ballet. A great addition to the program is “A Cool Yule,” a tap selection performed by guest company Arts Fifth Avenue under the direction of Gracey Tune. The program will close with “O Holy Night,” a reenactment of the nativity in song and dance.
Performances are scheduled for Friday December 11 at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 7 p.m. at the Will Rogers Auditorium located at 3301 W. Lancaster, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. We’re pleased to announce the First Annual Aventino’s Italian Meatball Competition, sponsored by West FW Lifestyle magazine, where home cooks get a chance to show off their culinary skills. Send us your favorite homemade Italian meatball recipe with a photo for a chance to have your recipe featured in the magazine and served on the Aventino’s dinner menu for one night. Each month November through January, one winning recipe will be selected and promoted via social media, and one Grand Prize Winner will be featured in the February Food Issue of the magazine and have their delicious winning meatballs served for one weekend at Aventino’s Italian Restaurant.
