This May will be a busy one in the Thomas household. I have the daunting task of mentally preparing for Pace, my youngest, to graduate high school on June 1! I’m pretty sure it will take me the entire month. There were times when I thought this day would never come and he would very possibly become a professional high-school student. Now, with one short month to go, it seems the tables have turned and I may be the one he’s worried about. So, during this month of preparation, I must practice my not so ugly cry face in the mirror, learn to control my urge to lick my fingers to fix his hair before he puts on his cap and gown, and try to remember not to call him Pacey in front of his friends. I have my work cut out for me and I will put all 31 days of May to good use in getting ready for this momentous occasion.
Doug and I enjoyed working through ideas for this issue at our editorial meeting over bacon, eggs and pancakes at the Paris Coffee Shop. This month’s issue is all about summer preparedness. Whether it’s sending your kiddos off to camp, getting your backyard ready for grilling, or taking a trip to the Keys. We have a little bit of something for everyone.
We truly appreciate you and hope to see you around town!
